Denis Kaiser

Denis Kaiser is associate professor of church history at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, the annotation project editor of Ellen G. White's letters and manuscripts for the Ellen G. White Estate, Silver Spring, MD, and a subeditor of the "History of Theology and Ethics" section of the Encyclopedia of Seventh-day Adventism.

Born in Rostock, Germany, Kaiser received a Dipl.-Finw. (FH) in tax law from the Fachhochschule für öffentliche Verwaltung, Polizei und Rechtspflege, Güstrow, Germany, in 2001. He also received a Bachelor of Theology from Bogenhofen Seminary, Austria, in 2007, and earned a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies and Church History and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Adventist Studies and Historical Theology from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary of Andrews University in 2009 and 2017 respectively.

Previously he worked as an internal revenue officer for five years, translated publications from English to German for about twenty years, and served in numerous other research and editorial functions. He is involved in such scholarly societies as the Society of Biblical Literature, the Adventist Theological Society, the American Society of Church History, and the Verein für Freikirchenforschung. He has authored a number of publications on Adventist history and theology.

Kaiser is married to Angelika, a trained language teacher, and proud father of two daughters.
