Biography
H. Navarro received his Ph.D. in Physics from the Balseiro Institute – Bariloche Atomic Center in Argentina in 2019. His doctoral research focused on the fabrication and electrical characterization of interfaces based on functional oxides, with applications in superconducting and multiferroic tunnel junctions. As part of his Ph.D. studies, he completed a research internship at the Albert Fert Laboratory (Nobel Laureate in Physics, 2007) in Thales Research & Technology in Paris, France, where he worked on superconductor/ferromagnet hybrid systems.
From 2019 to 2025, Dr. Navarro served as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), working in the Center for Advanced Nanoscience within the Department of Physics. At UCSD, he spearheaded experimental research on photoinduced and electrically induced resistive switching in complex oxide heterostructures. His work investigated new functionalities in correlated electron systems for the realization of materials and devices for neuromorphic and optoelectronic applications.
