About

Dr. Sylvia Gonzalez, originally from Uruguay, South America, has experience in administration and teaching. She has taught in the United States and in several Latin countries. She is currently an Associate Professor and teaches in both the Leadership program and the Educational Administration program.
Current Research or Professional Activities:
Dr. Gonzalez’s research interests are in leadership development and issues that deal with employees in organizations (burnout, mobbing in the workplace, culture). Her last article submittal deals with the way hardship plays a part in leader development. She is currently conducting research on power distance and how it affects leaders in different cultures, in a joint research project with Drs. Erich Baumgartner and Stan Patterson, both from Andrews University.
