| Translated title of the contribution | The Validity of Levitical Food Laws -- Part I: Scholars usually treat the laws of clean/unclean animals/food in the narrow context of Leviticus 11–15. This, with some verses of the New Testament, would force to believe that dietary laws must be regarded as obsolete and invalid. However, there are a Christian’s group who claim the contrary. In order to confirm the validity of these dietary laws, this study, which will be divided into two parts, will present eight arguments for these from a biblical-theological and ethical perspective. Here are the first five arguments for maintaining their relevancy. |
