Abstract
It is often considered difficult for a professor teaching online to get to know their students or for their students to get to know each other. We will discuss a variety of techniques to use before during and at the end of the class for a professor to get to know their students and for them to interact and get to know each other better. Discussion involves using video introductions, group work, simulations, audio grading, forums, and online class presentations. We will begin with these techniques and brainstorm others among those attending.
