Abstract

This paper highlights how one small, private university reached out to its international students through bibliographic instruction (BI) workshops, as well as through library instruction in the English Language (ELI) classes. The history and content of the workshops are discussed, as well as guidelines for making them successful. International students, who are not able to attend the workshops, receive BI in their ELI classes. Student reactions to the workshops, along with the author's personal observations, are also included.
